Somehow such an ugly name seemed plumbing fixtures for this hateful mom, who we felt kept our friend nether lock and key and had a long listing of unreasonable chores for her.

Today, I look back and laugh at that scenario, not just because I'yard a mother myself and know that Emma wasn't beingness mean at all and that she was just making certain her daughter stayed on the straight and narrow, only I also express joy because "Emma" is one of the most beautiful names I've ever heard. How could we have thought it was as homely as Beulah, Myrtle, or Gertrude? What sounded awkward and ugly back in the 1980s has go a cute, feminine, and extremely popular name 20-odd years afterward.

My daughter'due south names are Lucy, Lily, Alice, Charlee and Hallie. Lucy and Lily are twins they are 12, they are very able-bodied and so sugariness. Alice is 11 and is so prissy and practiced at drawing. Charlee is 13 and very very adept at basketball. Hallie is 15 and is very quite but cute. My grandmother was Mildred Agnes. I wanted to name my daughter afterwards her, but agonized over these two names. I thought Aggie would be a cute nickname, but husband wasn't going for it. She ended up being Isabelle Mildred. I've heard the names Mildred and Agnes in public at the park, and so they're rising! My daughter is proud of her eye name because it is unique at the moment, while her showtime name is fashion over used. (Isabelle was a great-grandmother on both sides of my family.)
